Sound in Colour

In June of 2007 and 2008 students participated in the ‘Sound in Colour’ Project.  This project was designed to:

  1. Help students think creatively about the pieces they were playing

  2. Increase each students’ range of dynamics and tone colour at the instrument

  3. Explore and improve upon each student’s ability to hear and conceptualize sound

  4. Deepen students’ understanding of the musical elements present in their performance

         pieces.

Each student created a piece of art to accompany one or more of their recital pieces.  The art was projected during their performance to create a multi-media show.
